About the Place
Welcome to Pamana Restaurant - Tagaytay, nestled along Aguinaldo Highway in the picturesque city of Tagaytay, Cavite. This culinary gem holds a special place in the hearts of locals and tourists alike, standing as a beloved institution for over a decade. As I step inside, the vintage decor envelops me, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly complements the rich flavors awaiting at every table.
With a menu that celebrates traditional Filipino cuisine, Pamana delivers a delightful array of dishes that are designed to evoke nostalgia while tantalizing the taste buds. Patrons rave about the Crispy Pata, a mouthwatering pork dish that beautifully balances crunch and tenderness, making it ideal for family gatherings. The Crispy Adobong Pusit has also won hearts with its remarkable taste, recommended by the knowledgeable staff who are dedicated to ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of excellent.
For those seeking something equally satisfying yet unique, the Nilagang Bulalo offers a comforting bowl of clear broth with refill options—perfect for this cool Tagaytay weather. The care taken in crafting these dishes shows in the generous portion sizes, often enough to share among friends and family, adding to the restaurant’s value proposition.
One of my personal favorites is the Lechon Manok Tinupig, where the smoky aroma wafts through the air, promising a savory journey with each bite. The use of gata enhances the flavor, leaving a delightful aftertaste that lingers long after the meal is over.
Yet, Pamana is not just about the food; it’s about the experience. Families return time and again, carrying with them cherished memories, as expressed by long-time patrons who have dined here for over 13 years. The staff, particularly the ever-enthusiastic Kuya Allan Mordido, are known for their warm hospitality, ensuring that everyone feels like part of the Pamana family.
Though some reviews point to a few inconsistencies, such as the watered-down avocado shake, the swift service and charming atmosphere often make up for any minor hiccups. Dishes like the flavorful Sotanghon Aligue keep guests coming back, eager to explore the full range of Filipino dishes on offer.
As the sun sets and the vibrant colors of Tagaytay’s landscape unfold, Pamana Restaurant invites you to enjoy a meal that’s steeped in tradition. With each dish served, you are not just tasting food; you are savoring a piece of Filipino culture enveloped in familial love and gourmet artistry.

“ The avocado shake was watered down and tasted like plain sugar. The food was serviced fast. The place is compact but we were seated really fast. ”
“ Me and my family has always been dining at Pamana and Tsokolateria for 13 years now. Every time we visit Tagaytay, we never fail to have our brunch at Pamana :) Dining at Pamana Tagaytay is like a family tradition for us with its superb food range and amazing view to complement the place. Special commendation to my favorite Kuya Allan Mordido for always accommodating us with a cheerful smile and energy. He always makes us feel right at home with his excellent service. ”
“ Foods is good and I appreciate the pizza we ordered. Interested to comeback and taste their other dishes ”
“ The staffs are very accommodating and welcoming. The designs inside the restaurant is very vintage vibes which add more to the calming ambiance of the place. The food are also superb due to its big serving and worthy for its price. ”
“ We had a quick midnight snack at this resto on a Tuesday evening. Place is decent with typical Filipino cuisine. We had balut sisig and sotanghon aligue. We love them both and took 1 star from my review because the balut is like 3 balut eggs cooked in sisig style. Problem is, they also put the albumen which is like hard, rubbery part that is not good for eating. The sotanghon is the best and is highly recommendable. ”
